Five emergency responders were killed and another five injured in Kharkiv after Russian forces launched a second strike while firefighters were extinguishing a blaze.
According to Ukrinform, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported this on Telegram . "Five State Emergency Service rescuers were killed in Kharkiv while responding to a fire as a result of a repeated Russian strike. At least five more were injured," Klymenko wrote, expressing condolences to the families of the fallen responders. The minister noted that Russia's large-scale attack on Ukraine was ongoing, with Kyiv remaining the main target. "There is significant destruction of civilian infrastructure. All necessary emergency services have been deployed to deal with the aftermath," Klymenko said. Earlier reports said that two men suffered blast injuries in a Russian attack on Kharkiv.
